Back Extension with Twist

Starting Position:
Face-down with the med ball placed behind head.

Movement:
Use the hamstrings, gluteal muscles and lower back musculature to arch up off the ground.  While in the up position alternate twisting to each side.

Speed:
Slow and controlled.

Weight of Ball:
2Kg for beginners – 5Kg for advanced level players.

Variations:
1) Extend the arms out while holding the med ball to increase the difficulty.
