Push-Up with Rollover

Starting Position:
Push-up position with one hand on a medicine ball.

Movement:
Lower into the “down” position and return to the “up” position.  Immediately on reaching the “up” position roll the ball over to the other hand and repeat the movement.  Repeat the sequence for the designated number of reps.  The med balls increase the difficulty due to providing an unstable surface and places a greater demand on shoulder stability.

Speed:
Moderate.

Variations:
Use two balls with no rollover (see med ball push-ups 2 balls).
