Side Lunge – Ball Raised

Starting Position:
Standing with feet shoulder width apart.  Med-ball is held with both hands above the head.  Torso is held erect.

Movement:
Step to the side into a side lunge position while maintaining an upright torso at all times.  Immediately return to the starting position before repeating the sequence for the designated number of reps.  Sequence is repeated with the other leg.

Speed:
Slow and controlled to moderate.

Variations:
Introduce added resistance (such as a heavier med ball)
