Emphasis:
Ladder work, clean handling

Set-up:
Place a ladder from the center of the goal line, to the middle of the 6 yard box.
The goalkeeper starts behind the ladder, and the server stands at the penalty spot with a group of balls.

Objective:
The goalkeeper makes his/her way through the ladder, gets set and makes a save on a volley from the server.

Progressions:

1. Increase the difficulty of the footwork through the ladder.
2. The server strikes balls from the ground.
3. The server strikes balls for a low dive save.
4. The server strikes balls for a collapse dive save.

Coaching Points:

• Watch the ball all the way into the hands.
• Get the footwork right.
• Always attack the ball.
